Review from Amazon:
A great deal has already been said elsewhere about the content in these books. Some of the material on dyadics is a bit dated (no tensors in the book at all), but the amazingly clear and comprehensive exposition on generalized vector spaces, Greens functions and eigenfunction expansions makes them a wonderful resource. The material in these books is very dense.
The republished versions of these books are not just "photocopies" of the original books, as are some of the other reprints of classic books which are similarly expensive, but contain much less material (namely Carslaw & Jaeger and Bender & Orszag).
The print is as clean and crisp as it is in the original library copies of this book I have seen, which is especially important with all the detailed mathematical notation. The nifty 3D stereo figures are crystal clear, too. The paper is excellent quality and the books are bound very soundly (not just glued). Definitely a good addition to the library.
... For many years I kept on my desk your two
main books which are so useful for anyone who is involved in nuclear or
mathematical physics ...
Andrei Sakharov
.... "Methods of Theoretical Physics",
coauthored with Philip Morse, is both an instructional masterpiece and
a practical handbook ...
Frank Press-- former President National Academy of Sciences
"I constantly consulted "Methods" during my professional career; it will never age. "
Prof. J. Van Bladel-- Ghent
"This work presents the mathematics of much of theoretical physics in detail but at a rather advanced level. It is recommended as the outstanding source of information for supplementary reading and advanced study."
George Arfken --"Mathematical Methods for Physicists", third edition, p.974.
Morse and Feshbach's Methods of Theoretical Physics
is a magnificent summary of the application of classical applied
mathematics to the problems of physics. It is comparable in
thoroughness and clarity to Whittaker and Watson's great treatise,
"Modern Analysis".
At 1978 pages, Morse and Feshbach's two volumes are
remarkable for the efficiency with which they cover a vast amount of
territory. The sections on the theory of the Laplace and Helmholtz
equation are extensive, including topics rarely covered in other
references, such as a complete discussion of vector spherical harmonics.
The
index is extremely well done, including just references that are
substantive, unlike most modern computer-generated references. The work
is extensively and accurately cross referenced within itself. For
example, the following (correct) remark appears on page 1769 (vol 2):
"The dyadic Green's function must have the same general properties
which were enumerated on page 804 for the scalar Green's function."
This is just a tiny indication of the wonderful precision and attention
to detail that was lavished on this book over the 16 years that the
authors (and their graduate students) spent in preparing this book for
publication.
...Thank you much for making the effort to keep this book in print. It is truly one of the treasures of our culture...
Michael Epton-- Seattle
Recently this book was mentioned favorably in a blog by Doug Tygar, a Berkeley Computer Science Professor.
Other comments:
--The paper is of excellent quality and the printing and binding are pleasing. Thank you.

IŽd like to give you congratulations for reprinting
these masterpieces of physics that so many physicists
(mainly younger ones like me) have lacked in our
private libraries. Muito obrigado.
--An impressive speed of delivery! I am delighted with the quality of the edition, well done! Again, my appreciation for your prompt and courteous attention to this order.
--I have just received the two beautiful volumes. Thank you very much.
This book is a monument. Congratulations for republishing it.
--I have always wanted a copy of the both volumes of Morse and Feshbach since my university days (late 70's), as I used it extensively and was very impressed with it. I consider it to be a fundamental text for Applied Mathematical. I couldn't believe my luck when I found your web site about a week ago and a chance to get a new copy of them.
--I received the books and just want to thank you for what you've done. They are certainly worth their weight in gold.
